THE PARK AND GARDENS OF THE CHÂTEAU OF CHEVERNY: FULL OF ELEGANCE
Anyone will tell you that this château was the inspiration for the famous house of Captain Haddock, but the real star of the show is not the cartoon character, but Constance de Vibraye, the château’s owner. In just a few years, she skilfully brought colour to this garden which had, until then, been a vast expanse of greenery between the famous château and its landscaped park. Needless to say, she is passionate about flowers!
Today, there are bunches of flowers everywhere, filling the vegetable garden, decorating the rooms in the château and adorning the flowerbeds in the pleasure garden. Charles-Antoine, her husband, is equally committed to the life of this historic site. It was he who designed the geometric layout of the laurel maze, but that doesn’t stop him getting lost in it!

In spring, this large ribbon-like space brightens up the gardens with a stunning spectacle of different colours. You won’t know where to look… From red to pink via yellow and mauve, you just can’t get enough!

THE PARK OF THE CHÂTEAU OF CHEVERNY: A HAVEN OF PEACE
This immense park is the ideal place for lovers and romantics to get lost in their thoughts… or to simply get lost!
It is traversed by a large canal on which you can enjoy trips… in an electric boat! Little cars (also electric) allow you to sit back and explore the forest, where you can easily admire the wildlife and where the silence is broken only by birdsong.
