THE GARDEN OF LE PLESSIS SASNIÈRES: ONE FAMILY’S LOVE OF THE ART OF GARDENING

The Garden of Le Plessis Sasnières is above all a tale of one family’s passion for their garden. It all began in 1960 when Rosamée Henrion inherited this beautiful house surrounded by a large estate. The following years saw large-scale work around the lake, felling campaigns and thousands of species planted within the grounds. Today, it is her son, Guillaume, who cares for this magical place.

THE GARDEN OF LE PLESSIS SASNIÈRES, WHERE TIME STANDS STILL

Strongly inspired by the English style, the Garden of Le Plessis Sasnières is a dreamlike place with impressive alleys of lawn and a beautiful wild grass meadow with trees. The flower garden is a symphony of colours.

The setting is perfect for the thousands of buds that come into bloom between spring and autumn. Roses grow discretely alongside peonies, while orange geums, daylilies and alstroemerias offer a glorious picture of sunset colours and apple trees grow up against the pergolas. The harmonious colours create a truly picturesque setting: it’s time to dream!

THE COLOURFUL KITCHEN GARDEN OF LE PLESSIS SASNIÈRES

The old walled kitchen garden has been transformed into a patchwork of colour. Each bed has its own hue, creating a very cheerful effect. In the new kitchen garden, the gardeners tend to vegetables and berries that are used to make the jams and condiments sold in the shop. Time stands still in this place filled with inherent charm.
