Sound and light show at the Château of Blois

Until 29 September, the Royal Château of Blois invites visitors to discover its history in a different way. The "If Blois was recounted to me" sound and light show takes spectators into a whirlwind of images using the latest technology. Catherine de’ Medici, the Duke of Guise... key moments in the château’s history fly across its beautiful facades during a unique 360-degree show! 

“Gardens of Light” at the Domain of Chaumont-sur-Loire

At nightfall from 1 July to 31 August, stroll at your own pace along the paths of the International Garden Festival and discover the "Gardens of Light". Illuminated by hundreds of LEDs, this year’s “Jardins de Paradis” (Gardens of Paradise) will reveal new and unusual ambiances. The gleaming, colourful lights will guide you on a poetic walk that is full of mystery.

“The prophecy of Amboise” at the Royal Château of Amboise

From 6 July to 24 August, in the sumptuous setting of the Royal Château of Amboise, "The Prophecy of Amboise" night show takes visitors on a journey from the time of the courts of Charles VIII and Francis I right up to the late 19th century. This breath-taking show skilfully alternates between multimedia sequences using visual and sound effects and epic scenes on stage involving more than 250 performers.

The Château of the Dukes of Brittany and its Heures d’Eté festival

The annual Heures d’Eté Festival is back again this year from 9 July to 16 August. Its daily programme of events will liven up your summer evenings with concerts, children’s shows, open-air screenings, readings and more!
Local professionals and associations will be organising food and drink on the theme of world cultures, and you can also bring your own picnic to each event! 

Summer late openings at the Château of La Bussière

Come and enjoy the “Summer late openings” at the Château of La Bussière on Wednesdays 10 and 24 July and 7 and 21 August. This evening event is a great opportunity to discover the pretty château and its gardens in a different way, with a sunset picnic, stargazing and a night-time stroll all on the schedule.

King René's Walk

The fifth edition of this walk will be held from 27 July to 17 August in Angers. The must-see locations in the city will be showcased on four Saturday evenings. This year’s theme will focus on King René’s women and their different roles: politically-involved women, the queen, the wise woman, the mistress… Laid-back and entertaining strolls in the typical easy-going Anjou style!

Night-time musical walk in the gardens of the Château of Chenonceau

On certain summer evenings, the Château of Chenonceau invites visitors to stroll through its gardens specially lit up for the occasion. Enjoy a poetic night-time musical walk to the sound of works by the great German composer Handel, and on Saturday 20 July, don't miss "Tasting under the stars” for a unique opportunity to walk through the gardens and meet the winegrowers of the Touraine-Chenonceaux PDO who will be presenting their wines. 

Late opening at the Château of Serrant

During the Belle Époque, grand evening events were held here by the Duke and Duchess of Témoïlle.
From 7 to 14 August, don your finest attire and best accessories on the theme of the Belle Époque - top hat, jewels, brooches, bow tie - and revel in the high-society atmosphere at the château! Prestigious dinners, visits to the library containing 12,000 books… places are limited at the lord of the manor’s events! 

Night-time walk in the gardens of Roquelin

On Saturday 10 August, enjoy a night-time visit to the charming gardens of Roquelin. Situated on the banks of the Loire in Meung-sur-Loire, this small garden is a rose paradise! Enjoy a romantic and poetic walk in the evening through this verdant setting lit by 800 candles, amid the sweet scent of roses floating through the air.
