Accueil Rucher de la Prairie Gâtinaise
The apiary is first and foremost a family bee farm with approximately 800 beehives, all spread throughout the great natural region of the Gâtinais, and which practises transhumance to take advantage of the floral diversities of our neighbouring regions, such as the linden tree, for example.
Julien and Mélanie welcome you to their boutique, where you'll find all the honeys they produce: spring, acacia, forest, all-flower and chestnut honeys, as well as pollen and a wide range of honey-flavored pastries made on site in their laboratory, including gingerbread, madeleines, gourmet treats, honey-caramelized nuts and more. They also make candles with their own wax, and sell other products always made with their honey, such as traditional pastilles, soaps…
The apiary is first and foremost a family-run beekeeping operation with around 800 hives, all spread across the vast Gâtinais natural region, and practicing transhumance to take advantage of the floral diversity
Closed in July and August.
