The Domaine has been a family property since the 1960s and was taken over by Claude Lafond in 1977. It is now headed by his daughter Nathalie Lafond. The Domaine currently has 35 hectares in Reuilly PDO, three hectares in Valençay PDO and five hectares in Loire Valley local wine.
A family estate, a reference in the Reuilly appellation, the Maison Lafond has been cultivating vines for three generations
When Claude Lafond took over from his father André in 1977, the estate only covered 3.5 hectares. In the company of his friends and cereal growers, he never stopped growing his vineyard and the Reuilly appellation.
Today, Maison Lafond produces 35 ha of vines in AOC Reuilly, 3 ha in AOC Valencay and 5 ha in Vin de Pays du Val de Loire. It is now Nathalie, Claude’s daughter, who continues the adventure, with the family motto at heart: “a soil, a plant, a climate and people”.
