The "Pot aux Roses" is a gallery dedicated primarily to ceramics, the Cher being the 1st department in France in this field. It is housed in a listed 16th-century building that once belonged to one of the master masons of Bourges cathedral, opposite the entrance to Hôtel Lallemant (on the Rue Hôtel Lallemant side).
Here you’ll find some forty artists from all over France, working in all techniques and varieties of earthenware (raku, earthenware, glazed earthenware, local and other stoneware, porcelain, etc.). You’ll find everything from utilitarian pieces to sculptures. Some of the great names of the older generation rub shoulders with younger artists in more contemporary forms. It’s a bridge between craftsmanship in the noblest sense of the word and art.
