Virlay Lake

Virlay lake is classified within Zone Natura 2000. The Natura 2000 network includes a set of European, terrestrial and marine natural sites, identified by the rarity or fragility of wild, animal or plant species, and their habitats. The Virlay site aims to maintaining and developing the biological diversity of natural environments. The conservation of protected areas and biodiversity, also presents economic and tourist interests in the long term.
