Pagoda of Chanteloup

In a 14 hectare park with its ornemental lake, the Pagoda (built in 1775) is all that remains of the great château belonging to the Duke of Choiseul.

At the edge of Amboise Forest and in the heart of a 14-hectare landscaped park stands a chinoiserie in the pure Louis XVI style. 44 metres high, its summit offers a view over the Loire Valley. Inside, a virtual reconstruction takes visitors back to the heyday of Château de Chanteloup, destroyed in 1823. The Fû Hsi garden, its oriental trees and its chinoiseries are ideal for meditation.
