Come and discover the Shoah Memorial ? Pithiviers train station, museum and place of memory. The Shoah, or "the catastrophe" in Hebrew, is the genocide of nearly 6 million European Jews. On July 17, 2022, the anniversary of the Vel d'Hiv roundup (July 16-17, 1942), a new place dedicated to the history of the internment of Jews in France was inaugurated. The old Pithiviers train station, closed to the public since 1969, has been renovated to house a modern and innovative museography presenting unpublished archival documents.
