Descriptif patrimoine :
A thousand and one discoveries are hidden within this museum. In chronological order: from princely incineration sepulchers found in a tumulus dating back to the end of the Hallstatt era, uncovered in Ste-Geneviève-des-Bois, to the Celtic cemetery of La Tène during the Second Iron Age at Cortrat; Gallo-Roman ex-votos and coins, and barbarian tombs from the late 4th century. A leap forward in history then leads to the 16th century up to the Revocation of the Edict of Nantes, with the Reformation, the Coligny family and the famous reformed college. Finally, we reach the modern age with the history of Montmorency-Luxembourg and the Becquerel saga, and the famous Henri Becquerel who discovered natural radioactivity in 1896.
