The Loire Valley by train

Travelling by train is a good way of discovering the Loire Valley. The Interloire line running between Orléans and Nantes (and which even goes as far as Le Croisic) stops at Beaugency, Blois, Amboise, Tours. These iconic cities are surrounded by Loire Valley wildlife, Loire châteaux, small attractive villages and the flourishing life of the Loire and its affluents that make up the variety of landscapes you will pass as you journey along the line.

Trains are an ideal mode of transport for anyone wishing to visit the Loire Valley. From your carriage along the Interloire line from Orléans to Le Croisic you will be able to admire plenty of Loire Valley scenery. Walkers can cross the Loire Valley in stages thanks to the large number of train stations along the line, and cyclists can take their bikes onto the TER trains for free in order to arrive at the next stop in their adventure!

The Loire Valley is interspersed with train stations. Besides those in Orléans, Beaugency, Blois, Amboise, Tours to name just a few. They will allow you to visit Loire châteaux, authentic villages and Loire Valley vineyards.
 
As well as being practical and ecological, the train is a good means of transport for discovering all the attractive Loire Valley landscapes, and it even passes right next to the river along some sections of track.
 
For those with a smart phone, the "le Val de Loire vu du train" (Loire Valley from the train) application will accompany you throughout your journey. Designed like a guide, it provides information on sites of interest that you will see from aboard the train or when you alight. 
 

The Train Loire à Vélo : board the train with your bicycle!

 
Do you want to cycle along the Loire à Vélo cycle route, but don't have time for a round trip?
 
Thanks to the "Train Loire à Vélo" (Train Loire by Bike) system, you can board trains on the Interloire line with your bicycle, from mid-June to mid-September. The service is free and has dedicated personnel for taking care of your bike from the moment you board to when you get it back when you get off. This allows you to easily skip stages or return to your point of departure.
