Gardens
The Loire Valley is full of incredibly pretty gardens. The Loire châteaux offer fine examples of landscape parks, remarkable kitchen gardens and fine water features, such as those at the Châteaux of Cheverny and Villandry. Elsewhere, the large numbers of green Loire Valley spaces include both fun and informative botanical gardens. Some gardens welcome visitors into vegetable gardens, while others offer the opportunity to go for a peaceful stroll, like in the Pagode of Chanteloup. Finally, if you are looking for a really romantic walk, head to a 'garden of a thousand roses', of which there are many in the Loire Valley! Examples include the Jardin de Roquelin and the floral park of Orleans la Source. Some of these spaces are listed by Escapades aux Jardins, which invites you to discover them through nine different themes, from Medieval to romantic gardens.
