CATHEDRALE SAINT-LOUIS
BLOIS - 41
The Saint Louis Cathedral has a rich past. This 10th century church was rebuilt at different times in the 12th, 16th, and 17th centuries with add-ons in the 19th century. The essential date of the reconstruction in the 1680's bears witness to the persistance of the gothic style in the middle of the classic period. Inside, the contemporary stained-glass windows in the nave and the side aisles are the work of the Dutch artist Jan Dibbets, those in the choir are by Lobin in Tours (1860). Free self visit.
