Gardens
La Pagode de Chanteloup: an 18th-century “folly” built by the Duke of Choiseul in 1775. At the edge of Amboise Forest and in the heart of a 14-hectare landscaped park stands a chinoiserie in the pure Louis XVI style. 44 metres high, its summit offers a view over the Loire Valley. Inside, a virtual reconstruction takes visitors back to the heyday of Château de Chanteloup, destroyed in 1823. The Fû Hsi garden, its oriental trees and its chinoiseries are ideal for meditation.
