CHATEAU DE LA BUSSIERE
Monument
How did our ancestors fish in the lakes and rivers and what did they use? Through these remarkable collections of objects and works of art, you will discover the various techniques (casting, still, net, reel, reflector or line without a float) which were practised from the Renaissance to the Grand Siècle and the French Revolution and Empire. A whole world is revealed as you tour the different furnished rooms of the family château, built in the 17th century on a fortified butte and now listed as a historical monument. From the Venetian veranda, there is a magnificent view of a 6-hectare lake surrounded by a French garden designed by Le Nôtre.
Gardens
At the foot of the château, an 18th century vegetable garden labelled as a "remarkable garden" promises pleasant strolls amongst 65 varieties of pear trees and 42 varieties of apple trees. As you leave the cultivated square gardens and follow the "Circuit des cabanes", set out with the kids to discover the 10 small buildings located at the heart of the natural environment. A game of puzzles and directions will assist you as you enjoy pure happiness together as a family!
