Tourbière de la Guette

With its 21 hectares, the Tourbière de la Guette is the largest known peat bog in Sologne. This waterlogged environment boasts a remarkably adaptable flora.
Close to the Moulin de la Biodiversité, a signposted educational trail leads you through a sensitive natural area home to rare plant and animal species. From forest to moorland to wetland, this 1h30 walk will plunge you into the heart of nature in Sologne. Accessible all year round. In partnership with the Conseil départemental du Cher, the Maison de l'Eau site offers free guided walks all year round. CNRS scientists have been studying the site since 2008, making it a veritable open-air laboratory.
