The Grand Rozeau is an 18-hectare wetland located to the north of the lake leisure base and is comprised of prairies, sedge (carex), reeds and small wooded areas. It was developed in the 1990s via the creation of walkways, of three ponds and the installation of interpretation panels aimed at increasing visitor awareness of the site's great beauty. The zone is subject to eco-friendly management (late pruning and reseeding on certain plots, selective clearing, etc.), hence enabling environments to remain "open" and to allow typical wetland fauna and flora to thrive. A range of environmental events and activities are organised by the Maison de la Nature et de l'Eau (Nature and Water visitor centre).
