L'Espace Naturel sensible de l'Etang de Goule

Created in 1838 on the bed of the Auron river to supply water to the Berry canal, the Goule pond was acquired by the department of Cher in 1971 in order to develop a leisure base.
The particularity, it is an interdepartmental ENS because the parcels concerned are located in the Allier!
The 150 hectares, this site is a refuge for more than 200 species of birds, migratory. In spring, as in winter, ornithologists come to observe them
On the flora side, more than a hundred varieties of plants have been listed such as the extremely rare Aster linosyris.
Pleasant stroll around the lake with orientation panels and supervised outings (ask the Village of Goule for more information).
