The site is managed by the Syndicat Mixte de l'OEuf, de la Rimarde et de l'Essonne (SMORE). The ENS meets a number of objectives: preservation of the white-clawed crayfish, enhancement of biodiversity, improvement of water quality and flood control. It is a pilot site for the rehabilitation of a wetland pond. The 16-hectare ENS will be partially open to the public via an educational trail. A program of activities focusing on the discovery of fauna, flora and natural environments will be set up to raise public awareness of the various issues at stake.
