A new artistic and landscaping programme at the Regional Domain of Chaumont-sur-Loire

The Domain of Chaumont-sur-Loire, an Arts and Nature Centre, has revealed its 2019 programme designed to showcase its magnificent heritage.

From 30 March to 3 November, the Domain’s ‘Art Season’ will invite well-known artists to embellish its spaces with new works. Artists from every background, with the likes of El Anatsui, Gao Xingjian, Agnès Varda, Stéphane Thidet, Sheila Hicks…  will be installing works in the Château, stables and farm courtyard. Less than a month after the start of the Art Season, the new International Garden Festival “Gardens of Paradise” will also begin, presided over this year by Prince Amyn Aga Khan. International landscape artists, designers, scenographers, architects and urban designers will unveil their new, ever-surprising plant projects. Alongside the official group, “green cards” will be given to figures of landscape design such as Bernard Lassus, Leon Kluge, Pierre Alexandre Risser, Philippe Collignon and David Bitton.
