By train to the most emblematic châteaux

The Loire Valley is, of course, famous for its châteaux. Chambord, Chenonceau, Amboise, Cheverny and Azay-le-Rideau, to name but a few, are architectural gems that attract huge numbers of visitors every year. The good news is that many of them can be reached by train, even if they are not located directly in the town centres. There are shuttle bus services from the nearest stations to take you directly to the foot of the châteaux.

For example, once you arrive at Blois-Chambord station, there are buses to the famous Château de Chambord. The same applies to Chenonceau, which can be reached on foot from its eponymous station. These links make organising your stay a whole lot easier, as you don’t have to worry about driving or parking. The Loire Valley by train, it’s really practical!
Practical tip: find out about the shuttle bus timetables to help you plan your visits!
