Itinerary details
Description
Since the 9th century, pilgrims have set off each year towards Santiago de Compostela in Galicia, along paths throughout Europe. The Vézelay route, also called Lemovicensis, connects Vézelay to Saint-Jean-Pied-de-Port over more than 1,100 kilometers, including 115 km in the Cher between Marseilles-lès-Aubigny, a port that used to be the junction between the Berry Canal and the Canal Latéral à la Loire, and Châteaumeillant, a city of Gallo-Roman origin renowned for its vineyards. Escape with your family or friends to the heart of the Berry countryside and its charming villages.
