Enjoy a whole day out along this easy trail round the ponds of La Grande Brenne, which perfectly sums up the key landmarks to see around La Brenne. There's a whole array of things to see, from the scenery: meadows, woodland, moors, buttons (red sandstone hillocks) – not forgetting ponds too – to visits you could make: observatories, Maison du Parc and the Maison de la Nature. What's more, we recommend that you kick off your outing in the morning at Mézières-en-Brenne and take a lunch break at the Maison du Parc (where you can buy food or have a picnic), because this way you will have time to go to the Maison de la Nature and the observatories (at the Foucault, Massé, Ricot, Essarts and Sous ponds) and admire the exceptionally rich bird life at La Brenne.
