Description

The trail begins at the Maison du Parc in the centre of Le Bouchet hamlet. The architectural quality of the hamlet's buildings, overlooked by Château du Bouchet, and the Park's information and discovery centre that can be found here make this is a symbolic site of La Brenne Regional Nature Park. It then takes you through the typical landscapes of La Grande Brenne: ponds, buttons and moors. The trail meanders past Purais pond, a specially laid-out site by Chérine nature reserve. Buttons are one of the unusual sightings of this outing – red sandstone hillocks that have withstood the test of time and are a distinctive feature of the scenery around La Brenne. They form a chain that you'll find at the beginning of this trail, and then halfway along after Lingé village.
