Le Monday 20 May à 14h00
17 grande route La Borne 18250 HENRICHEMONT
To mark the 150th anniversary of the death of Marie Talbot (1814-1874), the La Borne museum is organizing a monographic exhibition dedicated to the artist-poet.
Nearly 80 ceramics will illustrate his masterly work. The exhibition, which features mainly ine?dites pieces from private and public collections, will be open to the public from March 30 to November 11, 2024.
The mystery surrounding the life of Marie Talbot (1814-1874) reinforces the interest in rediscovering her work. By creating women?s fountains as early as 1837, which she signed fait par moi Marie Talbot, the potter asserted an unprecedented artistic and social stance. To accompany the exhibition, the muse?e de La Borne is publishing the first monograph dedicated to the artist. In it, the book?s author, Renaud Re?gnier, highlights the widest possible selection of her works and retraces her life through major pieces.
