Trinity and its secrets… Discover the story and the architecture of this ancient Benedictine abbey from the 11th to the 18th century, which became barracks during the 19th century.
Description
At first glance, the Trinity Abbey's unusual imposing architecture resembles a small cathedral. Founded by Count Geoffroy Martel in 1033, this Benedictine abbey is a remarkable example of flamboyant Gothic art which is worth the trip in the Centre-Val de Loire region. The abbey can be visited all year round. Guided tours on request for groups. In season, Vendôme Ville d'Art d'Histoire offers a programme of themed tours (please ask for prices at the Tourist Office).
