Tombeau du Duc de Sully

Behind the church of Notre-Dame de la Nativité, the splendid tomb of the Duc de Sully and his wife Rachel de Cochefilet was sculpted in white marble around 1641, a reminder of the great wealth and status of the former 'Surintendant Général', Lord of Nogent le Rotrou.
Description
Visitors will no doubt be struck by the many statues, including one masterpiece: an Entombment of Christ of the Auxerre School in which some of the characters surrounding Christ are life size.
