About the monument :
Two museums on only one site, the Fortress of Montrichard :
– The archeological Museum of the « Friends of René Galloux » to imerge yourself in history, through paleotolongy, the prehistory of human beings, the Gallo-roman period or the Merovingian area. A room is also devoted to molinology (study of windmill).
– The Ethnology museum of the « Friends of the Old Montrichard » will imerge yourself in the 1900’s atmosphere. You will discover object of past time, admire famous character of the history of the city, learn some method of handicraft… You can also travel through 1000 years of history that have marked the city.

About the garden/park :
Discover the fortress of Montrichard, rare medieval site surrounding by Renaissance châteaux. The fortress overlook the city and offers an exceptionnal view on the Cher Valley. His majestic square donjon was built during the 12th century by the Amboise family, next to the next to the feudal motte ( ??) where Foulques Nerra had built in the 11th century a wooden keep to watch the valley. Relive the history of life at the Fortress of Montrichard! Thanks to six points of augmented reality, travel through time to meet Foulques Nerra, Philippe Auguste and other famous characters.
