About the monument :
Often described as an 'English-style garden', the Jardin des Prébendes, founded by the Bühler brothers in 1874, is in fact a fine example of French XIXth century landscape design. Its fine alleys allow visitors to enjoy the garden from all possible angles.
At its centre, the stream is divided by an island populated by magnificent bald cypresses. These trees are planted in groups of the same species, and in odd numbers. Next to the classic chestnut trees, lime trees and planes, the cedars and sequoia offer clumps of eye-catching exoticism. Also, look out for: tulips, red oaks and ginkgo. This remarkable garden is also home to a collection of statues.
Recently, Michel Audiard piece representing the writer Léopold Serighor was installed near the small pavilion. Often described as an ‘Engl
