Description
Thanks to a one-way mirror, one can discreetly observe a "boule de fort" game, the game that has been designated a "Loire heritage game" by the Ministry of Culture. The fief of Picrochole in Gargantua, Lerné has been home to this "boule de fort" society since 1879. The sophisticated rules of this game are little-known. The Picroboule historical centre, a 300 m² site, provides insight into the history, geographical presence and techniques of this amazing game that is played on a concave court with "boules méplates" (flattened balls).
