The castle of Maubranche was built in 1450 by a Scotsman who was chief of the Scottish guard of Louis XI.
In the 19th century, the famous architect Paul Emile Sanson built the janitor’s lodge, the stables, the lower courtyard, the vegetable garden and a gothic gallery. The park was also created by Henri and Achille Duchêne with spectacular views recently restored. The whole is ISMH on 90 ha.
