Musée du Matériel et de la Maintenance

The museum traces the history of the origins of our weaponry since the existence of the artillery service, the creation of the King's fusiliers regiment by Louis XIV in 1671 and the creation of the artillery train by Bonaparte in 1800, not to mention the parks and establishments of the artillery service, the setting up of automobile fleets and the creation of the automobile service on the eve of the 1914-1918 war. The story lasted until 1940 when the general engineer Gentil of the artillery department created the equipment department.
