Montbazon Castle is among the oldest in France and hosts lively tours from the dungeon to the cellars ending with shots fired from the war machine. Here you can learn medieval trades at demonstrations, interactive and creative workshops. Thursday and Friday evening in July/August sees the "Sacre du Chevalier" evenings revealing the secrets of hygiene, values of knighting and codes of conduct at mealtimes in the Middle Ages. The castle puts on after work parties on Wednesday evening from July to September. A fun-filled experience with the “100 énigmes de la Forteresse” castle mysteries during a cocktail party. The Montbazon Tournament on the second weekend in September brings together over a hundred fighters from all over Europe.
