Maison Ecole du Grand Meaulnes

A place of remembrance of a cult book "a long red house with five glass doors under the Virginia creeper at the edge of the village, a vast yard with courtyards…", in tribute to Alain-Fournier, a great writer.
Description
The Maison Ecole du Grand Meaulnes is a testimony to the school of the Third Republic as well as a place of literary inspiration: the timeless setting of one of the most famous novels in French literature. Alain-Fournier lived there from 1891 to 1898 when he was a child, his parents were teachers in this school where he located his novel "Le Grand Meaulnes". Since 1994, this school house has been returned to the state in which the young Henri Fournier knew it.
