Perched on the ramparts of the royal city of Loches, this lovely little museum with an intimate atmosphere is located in the family home of the landscape painter Emmanuel Lansyer (1835-1893). The theme-oriented visit encompasses a hundred paintings, drawings and sketches by the renowned artist, a student of Viollet-le-Duc and Gustave Courbet. His collections of Japanese prints and engravings are also presented in a lively, educational manner.
