Jardin médiéval de Bois-Richeux
Set around one of France's oldest farms (12th century), mediaeval gardens take us back into the spirituality and scents of the Middle Ages.
Description
An interpretation garden from the Middles-Ages. On this Celt farm, a medieval area was created to cure the body and soul. In the middle of inner courtyards, there are aromatic, culinary and medicinal plants. Each flowerbed symbolises the pathway which goes from the square (Earth) to the Roman circle (Heaven). In this peaceful atmosphere, all the senses are aroused. The enclosed garden, protected from the Beauce winds by woven wood-strip fencing, is home to a vegetable garden. Its hornbeam cloisters lead to the 'chambre d'amour' in the meditation garden.
