Espace Métal – Halle de Grossouvre

Presentation

The Espace Métal is a unique heritage interpretation center! Guided by Jamy Gourmaud and Georges Dufaud, master of the Grossouvre forges in the 19th century, you will discover the beginnings of contemporary metallurgy and you will be confronted with the technical problems of the time!
About the monument :
Fun and interactive scenography dedicated to iron work. Metallurgy explained to young and old at the heart of the Pays Loire Valley Val d'Aubois, a region that was at the forefront of metallurgical techniques less than two centuries ago – this is the challenge set by the Halle de Grossouvre. An interactive and fun space of which Jamy Gourmaud from the programme "C'est pas sorcier" is the iron, the fire, the permanent observer and the guide to tailored vocabulary, all at once. The interactive space for adults is also an educational space intended for children, entering very quickly into this game of a mirror between the past and present. Open 7 days a week during school holidays. 1 place purchased = unlimited return and free during the season.
