Église Sainte Marie-Madeleine

The church of Sainte Marie-Madeleine is one of the most beautiful in the region. Indeed, this one shelters one of the most complete sets of works of the French master glassworkers of the XIXth century. Moreover, this church has a remarkable choir.
Description
The church of Saint Mary Magdalene is one of the most beautiful in the region. The 23 meter high nave and the side aisles date from the 12th to the 16th century, since a reconstruction was necessary with the great fire of 1525 which ravaged the city. Come and admire the exceptional stained glass windows from the Lobin workshop in Tours dating from the 19th century! You will also find the plaster Christ which was used as a model by Triqueti to cast the bronze sculpture exhibited under the dome of the Invalides in Paris.

The tourist office of the Montargis Agglomeration remains at your disposal to discover in detail this monument within the framework of a commented visit of the city or for a discovery targeted on the church of Montargis (services intended for the groups only).
