Different elements characterize the church of Saint-Symphorien, which has been registered as a historic monument: a Romanesque chevet and choir from the 12th century, covered with three vaults, a pointed arch of Angevin influence (quite rare in Berry), and a bell tower-porch from the 13th century. The nave and the choir have remarkable capitals. two chapels donated in 1536 by Gabriel de la Châtre, lord of Maison-Fort, have quality furniture and glass windows (listed) attributed to Jehan Lécuyer, master glassmaker in Bourges, and a remarkable Renaissance-style cenotaph. The central altarpiece has a painting attributed to a pupil of Carle Van Loo, painter to King Louis XV: it represents the Resurrection.
