Rebuilt in stone at the end of XII – beginning of XIII, the church was deeply transformed in the years 1846-1854.
Description
A single nave, preceded by a porch and pierced by narrow bays, is extended by a hemicircular apse, vaulted in a cul-de-four. A chapel to the north faces a sacristy, modelled on the old church. Since 1990, the north wall of the nave has housed a stained-glass window, formerly located in the chapel, made of an assembly of fragments from the 16th century: the head of Christ is surrounded by six angels: three carry the instruments of the Passion, others are musicians. One of the paintings decorating the walls represents Agathe: it is said to have been commissioned by Ferdinand de Lesseps, in memory of his wife who was named as a martyr.
