Accueil Eglise Saint-Martin
One of the few entirely Gothic buildings in the department, this small church belonged to the chapter of Vatan. It opens to the west by a portal with a broken outline, formed by three large sticks, supported by small columns with capitals decorated with oak leaves.
Description
The single nave is illuminated by semicircular windows, which, despite their shape and narrowness, are related to the Gothic style by their height and their large spandrel; its two bays are vaulted with ribbed branches, restored in the last century.
The capitals are adorned with hooks, chimeras or figures, while the bases are connected to the base by claws, which have now disappeared
To the south, a chapel built in the 16th century is surmounted by prismatic warheads, supported by bases decorated with effaced escutcheons, and communicates with a square tower of the same style. A 17th century painted wooden statue evokes the charity of Saint Martin.
