Eglise Saint-Loup

Until the French Revolution, the church was dedicated to Notre-Dame, then to Saint-Loup. From the outside, it resembles a rural chapel.
Magnificent 12th-century frescoes rediscovered following recent restoration of the church.
Description
The single 12th-century nave, formerly covered by a wooden cradle, is separated from the choir, rebuilt in the early 13th century in the primitive Gothic style, by a triumphal arch and ends in a flat chevet, pierced by three lancet windows. To the south, an Epagne chapel, dedicated to Saint Loup and Saint Gilles, was built on the initiative of the Lord of Epagne in the early 16th century, at the same time as the nave was extended to the west. Several polychrome statues have been preserved.
A pilgrimage to Saint-Loup took place on the first Sunday in September: local residents came to implore this saint for their children, as he was considered a powerful protector against fear.
Stations of the cross (just restored) and stained-glass windows donated by the Pusy La Fayette family.
