Accueil Eglise Saint-Jean-L’évangéliste
Previously dedicated to Notre-Dame, several churches have succeeded one another in the parish of Meunet-Planches. The present building, dedicated to Saint-Jean, stands on a small square in the heart of the village.
Description
Composed of a single nave with a flat chevet, previously covered by a framework, as evidenced by three surviving entombments, replaced by a plaster vault. A side chapel was added to the south, between 1857 and 1860, to enlarge the church, which could not accommodate a population of 1,200 souls.
