Eglise Saint-Etienne

This is the place for good (and beautiful) works! Built at the end of the 19th century in a Romano-Byzantine style, this church was a gift to the town on behalf of the industrialist, Jean-Félix Bapterosses, owner of Emaux de Briare in 1851.
Description
The obvious way to leave his mark, the patron of the arts had the building decorated with enamel! Firstly on the pediment where a mosaic bearing the head of Saint-Étienne shines brightly, and on the ground inside where encrusted medallions illustrate the stages of life, the four elements and the five senses. A must-see if you are passing through Briare.
