Description
The Romanesque church, dedicated to St. Denis, was redesigned several times over the centuries, especially in 1936. Situated near the former Reuilly priory, village manor and dependent on the St Denis Royal Abbey, near Paris. It is a Benedictine church with a semi-dome apse and two apse chapels. The nave was covered around the 16th century by a wooden barrel vault. The half-buried crypt below the choir dates from the Carolingian period. The entrance to the monument resembles those of the many Berry Romanesque churches consisting of a stone coil surrounded by keystones.
