This building, which has suffered so much in recent history, is a harmonious witness of the Romanesque period owed to a judicious restoration. Archaeological research has been carried out. Twelfth-century frescoes have been preserved.
Description
The Romanesque church of Neuvy-Pailloux has many peculiarities: full archaeological excavations have been carried out, 12th century frescos have been preserved, it forms an ensemble with a modern church. During a visit, photos and drawings help to better understand the curious history of this monument and see the result of the excavations. The history of the manor is also presented.
