Eglise Notre-Dame

Built from 1124, the church of Notre-Dame has a Romanesque portal, classified as a Historic Monument since 1889. The rest of the building was registered as a Historic Monument in 1929.
Description
If the outside is worth the detour, don't hesitate to come in to admire the woodwork that adorns the walls and the paintings that surmount them. These decorative elements, commissioned by the Duke d'Antin, were saved from the destruction of the castle's wings in the 19th century
Several works by Charles Desvergnes (Bellegardois sculptor and First Grand Prix de Rome of sculpture) are also visible.
The church of Notre-Dame de Bellegarde can be visited freely throughout the year or accompanied as part of city tours.
