About the monument :
Created by A. André (renowned French landscaper – 1840/1911) who acquired the estate in 1871. He took care to alternate the perspectives, with different spots offering shade, shelter, light and relaxation at different times of day. The overall result is one of harmony, which has been passed down intact the present day. Later acquired by the municipal authorities, the garden has been open to the public since November 2003.
