Several marvels await you in the privacy of this half-underground crypt whose polychrome capitals date back to the late 10th/early 11th century.
Description
As displayed through the martyrium and large ambulatory of five chapels sealed off during the 15th century, this structure was devoted to the worship of the relics of Saint-Aignan. This magnificent, half-underground crypt preserves several other wonders including the remarkable backdrop of pillar capitals which prefigure Roman art. Not to be missed.
