Church of Ferrière

Presentation

The church (10th, 12th and 13th centuries) dedicated to Saint Mandé and Saint Jean is one of the most interesting and captivating churches in Touraine. Imposing and majestic character, dimensions and bold architecture make up this hall-church with three naves.
About the monument :
The troglodytic homes dug into the limestone bear witness to the past activities of the village. Whilst Gallic blacksmiths and textile workers have since disappeared, people are still intrigued by the majestic and imposing nature of Saint-Mandé Church.
